Dior Amber Diamond is one of those cult favorite product's. It's one of those products that everyone talks so much about that many often wonder if it's worth the hype. I think most people are hesitant about purchasing this because of its high price tag. Dior Amber Diamond doesn't come cheap at $44 USD for .35 oz. You do get a lot of product which so that helps a bit. Amber Diamond has 5 separate colors that are described as Ivory, Champagne, Tan, Bronze, and Peach. Sephora describes it as,
"These five micro-shimmering tones set off sparks of brilliance, highlighting your complexion. The ultra-fine, super-blendable formula virtually fuses with your skin for a sheer, radiant luminosity."

Dior Amber Diamond |
So here's my story with Amber Diamond. I bought it, returned it, and then bought it again. I just wasn't 100% sure if I would get use out of it. To be quite honest I'm really still not 100% sure. I think its a beautiful highlighter and very versatile because you can wear the colors alone as a highlighter, bronzer, or even eye shadow. I haven't tried it as an eye shadow yet but would probably really like it for summer. I do find that the color is more of a summery/early fall highlighter for me than all year round. I think that's because I'm pretty fair skin. If you are medium skin and darker I say 100% go for it. If you are lighter skinned I would test it out in the store. It's not for everybody. They have the more pink rose diamond that I think would work better for super pale skin.

Ingredients List |
Dior Amber Diamond is a nice fine shimmer without being glittery. It looks amazing in the light and helps to just give your skin a beautiful glow. I would not use this all over your face though but just as a highlighter instead. Using this all over your face would probably be a little too much for most people.

Beautiful Packaging |
The packaging is really beautiful and super high end. You do get what you pay for in that department. It comes in a velvet pouch and has the Dior embossing. I just take off all of my velvet pouches and store them away. I really don't use them but they are a nice touch. This is also a nice sized mirror which is always a plus to have.
The texture of this super creamy, smooth and buttery. It applies amazing on the skin and is not at all powdery. I would use a fluffier blush for this or a stippling type brush so that I wouldn't apply the product as densely. That just works best for me. Also a little bit goes a long way with this which helps justify the price even more.

A few months back there was a rumor going around that this was going to be discontinued I still see Sephora selling it online and in stores so I'm going to guess that was only a rumor. I would not pay the full price for this but if you can get it at 20% off I say pick it up. I think most people will really enjoy this highlighter a lot. Have you tried out Amber Diamond? What are your thoughts? Do you think it's worth the hype?
