Since Thanksgiving is coming up, Birchbox focused their November box on giving thanks, giving back, and giving treats. They included in this month's box a reusable gift envelope that can be filled with a treat to give to someone special. I really like that they added this. In addition they are supporting this month, The Art of Elysium which is a non-profit that encourages actors, artists, designers, and musicians to dedicate their time to kids who are struggling with various medical conditions. I really like that Birchbox works with charities. So here is what I got in my November box.
This holiday guide is cute. It focuses in the first half on gifts for women and the second half on gifts for men. If you are looking for gift ideas this could be helpful. Also starting November 10th they will be offering free shipping on all order of $25 or more. They usually do free shipping at $50 so this is great if you don't want to spend a lot and don't want to pay for shipping.
I received these La Fresh Eco-Beauty Waterproof Makeup Remover wipes. 24 wipes is $9.99 so these are not cheap. Birchbox says, "Even the most stubborn mascara will disappear when you use these biodegrable wipes, laced with moisturizing jojoba and other plant oils." I am excited to try these out and like that they are eco-friendly.
Next I got the ModelCo FIBRE LASHXTEND Lengthening Mascara. A full size is $24 and this is a full size. Most people were really happy if they get a full-sized makeup item. I'm on the fence if I will actually try this out and I hated the lip product I got from this brand in my Glossybox. I tend to prefer buying drugstore mascara since its easier to pick up and cheaper. Birchbox says, "Falsies without the fuss. This innovative mascara uses tiny lash-extending fibers to give you a lengthy fringe. Tip: Rotate the wand inside the bottle to pick up the fibers."
There is a cute mirror on the mascara but I personally don't carry mascara in my bag so this doesn't do anything for me.
I received the Oscar Blandi Pronto Texture & Volume Spray. A full size retails for $25. Birchbox says, "This light, nonsticky spray gives dry hair a voluminous, sexy, tousled look. Spray from ends to roots for best results. It's great for updos, too!" I'm not a big hairspray person but I think this is a great product for travel to get in a box. I'm happy that I got this.
Another eco-friendly product is the Mox Botanicals Pomegranate & Fig Lip Butter. A full size retails for $16. I got a teeny tiny sample but it will be good to keep in my bag. Birchbox says, "This eco-chic balm, in an exclusive flavor, revives lips with avocado oil and shea butter." This will be great for winter and smells great so I'm happy to have received this.
The last thing I got was a cologne from John Varvatos called Artisan. I will give this to my brother to try out and see if he likes it. It's nice every once in a while when they throw in things to give to the men in your life. I'm just glad I didn't get any food this month.
So that's everything that was in my November Birchbox. Overall I am fairly pleased with what I received. I'm excited to try out the wipes, lip butter, and oscar blandi volume spray. I will probably give away the mascara. What did you all get in your Birchbox? Time to do my reviews of the November box for my points.
xx

The mascara is horrible - it flakes everywhere!! I might try a clear waterproof top coat over it just to use it up, but one of the worst mascaras I've ever tried.
