After buying this at the drugstore I started to think that this might be similiar to my MUFE aqua cream in number 15. I have had this aqua cream for at least 1 year now but never reach for it. The MUFE aqua cream retails for $23. You get .21 oz and it comes in a plastic jar. Here are some photos of these products and then I'll let you know if they are dupes or not.
I'm going to start with the MUFE one. I find this to be patchy and very dry and not as creamy as the Maybelline one. This may have more staying power then Maybelline but when I felt the swatch on my hand it just didn't feel as creamy as the Maybelline one. I like that this comes in plastic packaging as it makes it more lightweight for travel.
Now onto the Mabyelline one. I like this way better than the MUFE one. The color is much more bronzey/brown while the MUFE one is more gold/bronze. I didn't realize how much gold was in the MUFE one until I swatched them side by side. The glass packaging is much more luxe than the MUFE one but it does make it more heavy. Even though you get less product, you are paying less money. I would rather pay less money and get less product since these do eventually dry out.
So here are the two swatched side by side. On the left is the MUFE one and on the right is the Maybelline Rich Mahogany. You can really see how much more gold the MUFE one is. So are they dupes, I don't think so. I still prefer the Maybelline one. If you can still get your hands on this color, I would run and do so.

Have you picked up this color? What do you think of it? Are you in love like I am? Do you like the MUFE aqua creams?

I don't really love the formula of the MUFE ones. I may put it on my blog sale. By the way, please email me at nycmakeuplover1@gmail.com so that we can discuss you winning the giveaway. Thanks!
DeleteI am IN LOVE with these, but was unable to find them in my area stores. Well, I found the standard, but no.limited edition. I ended up buying on EBay. I got all four limited editions, ( plus two regular ones which was great because one is my favorite) and the brush they sold for use with these for $38.50...plus shipping. So six plus a brush for that price isn't bad to me. I cannot wait to receive them! I skipped the limited edition jewel tones that , it seems, only Target carried because they were not my.kind of color. Although, if you love jewel tones these limited edition color tattoos may be for you. I've only seen.them on EBay.
