Breast Cancer Awareness Month Beauty Buys

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I wanted to do this post because to let you all know how you can give back to help fight breast cancer. For 2012, there are several companies that are donating a portion of proceeds from products sold to different Breast Cancer charities. For beauty lovers this is a win-win situation. You not only get to buy some great products but you also get to give back, which I think is very important to do.Please also be aware that some of these items will not be available until October so if you can't find it yet just check back in October and it should be available then. I will try and update this post as I find new products being sold.

Evelyn Lauder Dream Compact with Lucidity Translucent Powder by Estee Lauder, $75; esteelauder.com. This compact was created in honor of the late Evelyn Lauder, who founded the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). Donating 100% of purchases to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Essie Breast Cancer Awareness Collection (we're in it together, check-up, I am strong, and good morning hope), $8; essie.com. Essie has made a charitable contribution to Living Beyond Breast Cancer.

Pink Ribbon Guest Soaps by Gianna Rose, $25 for four; caswellmassey.com. Donating 20% of proceeds to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

Clinique Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm in Plumped Up Pink, $16; clinique.com. A single swipe drenches lips in a sheer candy pink; a dab on cheeks gives a natural flush. Donating $3 from each stick sold to BCRF. 

Julep Pinky Promises Nail Set, $46; julep.com. The deep fuchsia shade is perfect on toes, and the cotton-candy pink makes for a classic manicure. The set also includes cuticle oil. Donating 20% of the proceeds to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
